April Glassborow

Graduating from the University of Warwick with a French degree, during which time April Glassborow spent a year in Paris, she then joined Liberty in London and became a buyer for Fashion Jewellery and Perfumery followed by buyers in Leather-goods and Hosiery before moving to Harvey Nichols after 6 years at Liberty.

At Harvey Nichols, April started by buying Fashion Jewellery, moving to Leather-goods and Soft Accessories before joining the Womenswear department. During her time within Womenswear, she bought Modern Bridge, Outerwear, Contemporary Bridge and International Designers, oversaw the Own Label programme and launched and bought for the Shoe Department before becoming Head of Womenswear, Accessories and Shoes in 2007. Within this remit, April was responsible for Strategic and Financial planning.

On leaving Harvey Nichols in 2013, April now devotes her time to working with young Designers mentoring them on range planning and how to work with buyers and stores, helping them to improve and expand their businesses.

April has over 30 years experience and a lifelong interest in Fashion and Retail in addition to interests in Art, Literature and Modern Languages
